Running Accomplishments:

I don't really keep good track, but here's what I found online:

Canyonlands Half '08: 1:34:35

Cherry Blossom 10 miler '08: 1:10:09 (alias jonathon strong)

Jingle All the Way 10k '08: 41:46

Short-Term Running Goals:

I really need to develop new goals.  It's been a busy year both professionally (field work) and personally (wedding, move,...)

It's time to get back on track and commit to some racing goals for next year.

Long-Term Running Goals:

The long-term goals are much easier--to stay healthy and happy!

Personal:

Live in Broad Run, VA with my wife; work at US Geological Survey.  Baby cat running around to catch mice in our old house.

am: 14 mile ride to work.  Stopped halfway for some eggs 'n sausage at the Vienna Inn.

pm: 14 mile ride home...no Vienna Inn, but I made a great chicken/black bean burrito.  that's almost as good.

I spent ~45 minutes at the gym on upper body lifting and felt the protein boost of chicken 'n beans.

What a great day for a bike ride!

Hey, if you're interested, a small group of hikers (including another fellow fastrunningblogger) and me are going on this hike http://www.hikingupward.com/SNP/WhiteOakCedarRun/ on Saturday - getting together at the Vienna metro. Seems to me we're all older than you, but let me know if you want to join us anyway.

Oh wow! I'd love to, except that I have a friend coming into town on Friday and we've got plans for the weekend. Please keep me posted on anything like this in the future--I try to get out as much as possible. Regarding age, you're as old as you're living. Years don't have much to do with it in my book.

Are you talking about the Vienna Inn? That is one of my favorite places to go for food and drink. Great breakfast and awesome chili dogs!

Oh you know it!

It's perfectly situated halfway between home and work, so I can conveniently grab breakfast on the way in or a brew on the way home.
