am: 15 mile bike ride to work. Felt surprisingly sluggish, and have been feeling sluggish all day long despite a solid 7.5 hours of sleep. It's just been a very low-energy week...like i have an energy tape-worm of some sort. ~55 min
pm: 15 mile ride home. I had more energy this time, but my legs weren't quite so fresh. So it all balanced out and took the same amount of time, give or take a couple minutes.
I bought new shoes a couple days ago. I've been on Mizuno Wave Rider 9's (neutral) for years now and swear by them with regards to comfort/fit. The only problem is that I blow through them quickly (175 is a bit heavier than the average distance runner. Height comes with weight, that's all there is to it). So I switched to the Mizuno Wave Creation (neutral+) to see if I can get a few more miles out of them before they feel "dead". I paid dearly for them, but hopefully they'll pay for themselves, so to speak. And I think my leg will be happy to be de-funked. |
