Short-Term Running Goals:
I really need to develop new goals. It's been a busy year both professionally (field work) and personally (wedding, move,...) It's time to get back on track and commit to some racing goals for next year.
Long-Term Running Goals: The long-term goals are much easier--to stay healthy and happy!
Personal: Live in Broad Run, VA with my wife; work at US Geological Survey. Baby cat running around to catch mice in our old house.

| | 5 miles on the roads near home. Cold cold cold out! |
| | Not sure what day this was cuz my watch took a dump. Anyway, discovered for the first time that I can link Mountain road with the trails--ran it in reverse. |
| | Approximately 3 miles to stretch the legs after a long day of sitting both on airplanes and at work. Legs still sore from skiing over the weekend! |
| | 2000 meters in the pool. Tough workout--first time I've seen the pool since before Christmas! Ouch! I did a breast kick too hard right toward the beginning and tore something weird in my inner thigh...still feels a bit funny even to walk. But I finished, and despite the leg, I felt better than I had anticipated.
|
| | Okay. I have been horrible with FRB this month, and I swear to now get back on. Here is my list of excuses in consecutive order:
-Christmas/New Years busy-ness
-Sick for 1.5 weeks -In Vermont 5 days last week I ran when healthy during this time, and will back log when I'm next to my trusty watch. TODAY: I ran a hearty 6 miles from home looping around to Mountain Road. I felt nice and strong and look forward to another one tomorrow...weather permitting.
| |
| | Approximately 8 miles looping through/around all of Bull Run mountain and coming back on the roads. This was a heckuva run--it'll be a staple now at least once a week when I'm in town. |
| | no miles this weekend--blitz-painted in-laws' beach house in two days; ceiling, walls, and trim. Back to exercise tomorrow. |
| | 6 miles on Reston trails! It's been a while, but Kristin had to stay late at work and I noticed an old pair of running shoes and some shorts in my office, so I hit the trail. A gorgeous 60 degree/sunny day turned south the instant I got outside and a cloud-burst drenched me immediately. There was thunder and lightning, pea-sized hail, the works. I cursed the weather for a bit, and then decided it was pretty awesome. |
| | 6 miles on the roads near home again--things are going to be too sloppy on the trails to do much of anything for a while. Heck I'd rather get barked at by big dogs anyway. Feeling strong with a relaxed (~8:00) pace.
|
| | 2000m in the pool. A fairly tough workout of 8 50's, 12 100's, 8 50's, and a warm down. I still don't have my breast stroke kick to where it should be because of something in my hip flexor...it's sort of driving me nuts, and I feel like a trip to the chiro may be in order.
|
| | I'm calling this run 8 miles; from home up Bull Run Mtn, around the perimeter of the conservancy, out Mountain Road, and then back on paved roads. It's probably more like 7.5 miles or so, but it's 8+ effort with elevation. Strong legs! Funny how more prone I am to have a good run when on trails. |
| | 2000 meters in the pool. wow--hard workout followed by relay races. my calf won't un-knot. |
| | 6 miles on the roads close to home over a fresh layer of snow. We got about 5" out by our place on Friday night which made for an absolutely gorgeous weekend. We hiked on saturday a few miles, but not really mentionable for the blog--just a nice walk. |
| | 2000 meters in the pool. Nice and strong today, but pooped by the end. This was a pretty serious stroke workout (back, fly, breast), and I'm a freestyle kind of dude. |
| | 6 miles on the roads close to home. This was the beginning of a storm that brought 5 inches of snow, but it hadn't accumulated enough to really throw me off. Feelin' strong and chipping time off the total time for this run. |
| |
Same ol' run on the roads near home. I felt very sluggish all day today and was hoping that the run would snap me out of it...no ceegar. I was pooped the whole time...but I still managed to maintain a decent pace. I'm not sure what my energy issues are stemming from, since I get plenty of sleep and food. I'm generally fine if I'm moving (especially running), but the second I hit a chair I get so sleepy. Not sure what to think of it... Oh...today there was a full chorus of dogs barking at me. 4 on one side of the road, 3 on the other, all at the same time. It was like hearing "i want to chew your face off so bad" in stereo in dog-speak. That's just in one tiny spot--this run boasts the most dogs I've ever seen on a run. These people all have a couple dogs outside just to bark at things. I love where I live. And speaking of, MID-ATLANTIC BLIZZARD NUMBER TWO!! WHOOO!! Off to Western Maryland to the Allegheny Plateau to bust out nordic/tele skis and fish through the ice!
| |
| |
A nice full day on tele skis in Western Maryland. Ahhhh....
|
| | I'll call it 4 miles. Walk/jogged approximately 4 miles from my hotel in drizzle from my hotel in Fayettville, NC en route to Tybee Island to drop a trailer at the drill site. Lots of tree frogs--nothing like tree frogs calling at dusk to conjure desires for spring! |
| | 6 snowy, icy miles on roads from home. The salted spots were the worst, and wherever it's just snow it's all good. But really it's all all good. All of it. |
| | 6 miles on Tybee Island, GA. Just kicked off 2 week stint of field work, and the running is going to be a slice of heaven. From my house on a Savannah River canal I'm on the beach in 10 minutes, then it's smooth sailin' with shells and gulls and sunsets. I had to pinch myself tonight. |
| | I had an amazing run tonight. Simply amazing. After a few hours of constant drizzle here in Georgia, I decided that I had to make a move rain or shine, so I suited up and headed out. Right when I got to the beach, the sun dropped below the cloud level and lit up all the rain drops around me in an incredible glow behind me and to my right that felt otherworldly. This transitioned to a purple to my right, and a deep blue right in front of me. To my left was a gigantic, bright double rainbow over the Atlantic with flocks of seagulls flying all around. I felt like I was iin a sci-fi movie and a unicorn was going to jump out at me or a mermaid would surface and wave to me. Totally awesome. Like the perfect birthday present:) | |
| | Beautiful day today, and I would have loved to run and run and run, but after these couple days of field work + running my legs were telling me they wanted a little break. 5 fairly relaxed miles were just fine for me! |
| | 6 miles--same as before on the beach. Legs are screaming at me for a day off, so I shall listen tomorrow. |
| | east end to mountain road to Gaines road and home. |
| | 7 mile loop around the conservancy and onto the road. |
| | 7 mile loop BACK HOME AGAIN!! Nice to run my trails after so long away! |
| | 5 mile loop from East End Trail to Mountain Road and back home on the roads. |
| | Chest and tri's at Planet Fitness. Sore! |
| | 6 miles on the roads from home. I was pretty sore from lifting yesterday so I took it slow, until I saw Kristin in my targets. I like having something to chase. |
| | My legs are still sore, so I took the day off and headed to the gym for back/bi's/core. |
| | 7 miles on the trails and roads. I actually felt like I was in nice shape, but I was unusually winded. Especially on flats and areas that I should have been cruisin'. Temporarily attributing to either anxiety (weird day) or pollen (trees going nuts). |
| | I won't claim miles today. Up in Pittsburgh for the holidays, and:
Started the day with a couple matches of tennis, jogged back to the house (~1.5 miles) with Kristin Biked ~7 miles through Pittsburgh seeing the sights.
|
| | Again...won't claim miles for today. A couple matches of tennis in the a.m. Hiked the Sky Meadows trail system on the way home from the Burgh...about 3 miles roundtrip. Gorgeous day!!
|
| | No miles today--back to the gym. chest, tri's, and legs for about an hour. Gotta love pizza monday. |
| | Today I ran the six mile out-and-back on the roads from home and decided to bump up the intensity a notch. I've been in auto pilot for quite some time; being overly conservative so as not to burn anything out. Last night it dawned on me that this is dumb and that there's no reason to not have a fun, fast run because I'm not running any races any time soon anyway. Anyway, I cut 3.5 minutes off my usual time and today (wednesday) I feel great. It's weird...like I forgot all about speed workouts. |
| | Had to close the gym loop today with back/bi's/legs |
| | The short East End trail-->Mtn road--> Gaines road loop. Ominous weather! |
| | Off to Glenwood Springs/Carbondale Colorado for some Fun in the West with Brian. |
| | No miles, but put in some good turns at Sunlight Resort NW of Aspen. Truly spring skiing! |
| | 4 miles to stretch everything out and get back into the swing of things |
| | Felt frail today, so I went back to the gym. Approximately one hour of chest/tri's/legs |
| | 6 miles on the roads to the top of Gaines and back. I felt very strong today, but also kind of clumsy in my stride. Absolutely gorgeous night for a run...spring here is totally awesome. |
| | One hour of back/bi's/legs at the gym. Still sore from a couple days ago, and desperately in need of a different gym regime. Hitting each muscle group only one day a week is not working... |
| | My uber-fun loop from home, around the conservancy, and back on the roads. I generally do this run in exactly one hour, this time was 62 minutes, so not bad. Everything feels great! |
| | Today I took advantage of the perfect cycling conditions and headed over to the Schaffer Farms trail system. It was a pretty good ride, considering it was my first time in the saddle in many, many months. They improved the trails out there considerably, putting wooden "bridges" down in the muddier spots. The down side is that they cordially put a metal mesh over the wood for gripping purposes, and the stuff acts like a friggin' cheese grater on knees. I found out the hard way and have blood spots on my bike to prove it. | |
| | Approximately 5 miles of jogging today following an hour in the gym. Also ~3 mile digestion hike in the conservancy after dinner.
The new plan: Monday "wake up" the muscles at the gym; longer, full-body light workout. Wednesday/Friday muscle-group-specific workouts. This way I hit everything at least twice, once with the intent to build a bit.
|
| | 6 miles on roads at home. I took it easy today, just trying to build mileage and not worry too much about intensity. The dogs were particularly excited to see/eat me today, but I still want to make friends with them. |
| | Focused workout today: chest/tri's/legs. For the first time in a while, I didn't feel "green" in the gym. Everything was ready to rock!
|
| | Ran the long loop around the conservancy to the roads today. I'm surprised with how well the brutal hills have been lately, and can only assume that all the squats at the gym are paying off.
|
| | About three miles; East End trail to Mtn Road and back on the Alternate trail. Also a pathetic mini workout (~15 minutes) at the gym which, as I know now, closes at 7 pm on saturdays... |
| | Just a walk in the park. Literally. Whitney State Park south of Warrenton. It's very pretty there and set up for mountain bikes, so I will return soon with the new 29er |
| | We hit planet fitness directly after work, and I did a fairly generic upper body workout and concentrated on my legs. lots of squats and machine-work. I knew I'd pay for it later, so I did 3 slow miles in the rain just to stretch out the legs and make sure they stayed limber. |
| | Six miles on the good ol' Reston trail system again! Haven't really done this since we moved out to Broad Run, but we had dinner with friends in town after work so I did a noon run. Ran with another USGS fella Joe that I met on the trails. Good guy, and we pushed each other well. Legs a bit sore from too many squats yesterday... |
| | Gym day. Full upper body, since I couldn't do anything with my sore, sore legs. |
| | Took the new 29'er out for the first run today, despite the lack of clips for the pedals. Totally awesome ride. It's smooth, it climbs well, and it's so freaking TIGHT! |
| | 6 miles at the peak of a very warm and humid day. It hurt really bad, actually. I'm just not used to this kind of heat yet, and my body told me so loudly. |
| | 8 miles on the panhandle trail in Pittsburgh. Last minute trip up north for family things led me to a GORGEOUS run. I may have slightly overdone it, though, as my knees are not having a good time of it. |
| | Gym day--pretty generalized upper body workout. The knees are still a little achy from Monday's run, and I'm not sure why, so I just completely laid off today. |
| | I took the new bike out tonight to the Difficult Run trail system in Reston. The quick and short of it is that it's an absolute cream-puff. I can't believe how the thing climbs, corners, and handles obstacles. I effortlessly and smoothly roll over things that used to just about bounce me off the trail, and that ain't no exaggeration. Having the lockout was a bit awkward at first, but I've already grown quite used to it and was using it for pretty much every hill climb by the end of the ride. I have to do some minor tweaks to get the geometry closer to my own (mainly lengthen it--bring the seat back a tad and put a longer stem on it), but otherwise she's good to go! | |
| | One more gym stint before splitting for Aruba. Good ol' destination weddings... |
| | 4 miles on da beach on some barrier island near Charleston, SC. Down for the second wedding of the month... |
| | This was probably more like a 7 mile run, but since I brought no watch and I'm not sure, I'll call it 6. This was one of those absolutely perfect beach runs--great weather, compacted sand, high noon, followed by a nice dip in the water. Surreal. |
| | Back to the gym--~50 minute generalized workout. Mostly upper body, a bit of leg work. |
| | The good old out-and-back 6 miler to the top of Gaines Road and back. For having such a wild and hectic schedule the past few weeks, I'm very pleased with how my body is keeping up. I don't seem to have lost much--though I suppose I'm also not gaining any fitness. I'd like to be building fitness rather than just maintaining it this time of year... |
| | Headed straight to the gym after work to get huge. then shook it off and stretched out with a 4 mile trail run on the Conservancy on a new route that I had never considered. It's thursday morning now and my back is totally trashed. I'm not sure if it's from pushing it too hard in general yesterday or from sleeping weird, but the coffee seems to be helping... |
| | 6 fairly painful miles. I did too much legwork at the gym yesterday apparently, and now I have a huge charlie-horse on the left outside quad. I was basically shuffling by the end of this fairly easy run. |
| | 6 miles on the roads to the top of Gaines Road and back. This is the first run in quite some time, as reflected by the lack of entries, due to the last and final wedding trip for the year. We were up in Michigan for a wedding and to be with family for a few days, and things never slowed down enough to do a good run. Today I got back on the horse, and it felt pretty pathetic. I couldn't find my form no matter what I did, so I accepted it early on and just decided to enjoy it. I ended up completing the run in 46 minutes, which is faster than usual. So I guess it just felt bad, but was indeed quite a good run. No more running hiatuses like that--i was losing it. |
| | noon: 2000 meter swim with the folks at Lake Newport pool. First time in the pool in months, and I kicked some butt! Not sure why, and can only attribute to leg strengthening at the gym. Either way, not compaining. pm: one hour full body general workout at the gym.
|
| | Approximately 6 miles of beach running on Fenwick Island--HOT!! |
| | A nice active night tonight: -45 minutes at the gym--a quickie to get the blood flowing -2 loops on the mountain bike around Whitney State Park; took a half hour each -4 mile trail run in Whitney on other random trails. I was really excited to come home and eat amazing salmon for dinner with a mint julep.
|
| | 4 quick miles on the Reston trails after work before heading to Wolf Trap to see Jethro Tull. Excellent show...Ian Anderson's still got it. | |
| | No miles today, but a good solid workout at the gym (one hour). I had planned on a short run to follow, but happily dropped it for a delicious meal of fresh salad, scallops over vermicelli, and fresh gazpacho. My wife is awesome. |
| | swimmin' at the rope swing. not so much exercise....but better than sitting and watching TV, i s'pose. |
| | I worked off my sedentary work week this afternoon...and it was amazing. 45 minute gym workout on the way home from work 45 minute road ride on the roads near home 4 mile trail run. All followed by killer pizza in Leesburg. Heckuva night!
|
| | I'm not sure how long this run actually is, but it's a combo of trails and roads, and I feel like it might actually be closer to 6. But I'll remain conservative for now. It was HOT HOT HOT when I did this run, and a cold front ripped through during my post-run stretch that made life much more pleasant. I procrastinated the run all morning...but I wish I dragged that out even longer. |
| | lazy river float down the Rappahannock River. |
| |
noon: 2500 meters in the pool with all the guys. This was a distance workout--3 sets of 500, a 300, some 100's, and 50's. I'm used to 2000, and I haven't swum hardly at all, so needless to say 2500 hurt...yet, i actually did alright.
pm: one hour gym workout, then a casual bike ride into town for desert.
|
| | About 4.5 miles of trail running after a very hectic day--just barely caught the last of the daylight and ran it pretty fast. |
| |
An hour workout at the gym followed by around 3.5 miles of trail running. I turn into swamp-man in this humidity...it's kickin' my butt.
|
| | Not exactly sure on the distance here, but it was certainly a 6 mile effort. Finally got back on Bull Run Mountain proper and put some vertical gain under my belt. The climb was surprisingly easy, and the drop the same, but when I entered the flats planning for a 7+ mile run the rubber set in and I veered off to cut it a bit shorter. Progress...I'll get that run next week. |
| | noon: 2200 meters in the pool. 200 warmup, 2 sets of 3 300's with variations, and 4 50's. Good times! Great workout that went fast and left me tired and HUNGRY! |
| | Did the double-double today: noon: ~1800 meters in the pool with the crew. 8 150's and a bunch of additional things. pm: The Turner to Gaines 3 mile out-and-back. I felt pretty stinking rusty at first, but fell into a groove by the end. Still probably ran a pretty stinking slow pace...~8:30's
|
| | Approximately an hour at the gym after work followed by about 3.5 miles on the trails to loosen everything up. |
| | This may very well be more like 5-5.5 miles, but it's every bit of a 6 mile effort. I ran all trails yesterday up to the top of Bull Run mtn and around the entire preserve, but back in, and then out on East End trail. My legs were a bit sore from squats on Tuesday, but it didn't affect running performance. Kept the pace very conservative so that they'll stay somewhat fresh for thursday and possible friday runs. |
| | 6 miles on zee roads. Felt very strong...maybe i'm finally getting my legs back. |
| |
noon: 2200 meters with the folks at Lake Newport pool. Straight-forward but tough workout. The triathlon crew is in full training swing and these dudes (and especially the girls) are really pushing the pace. I'm pretty wiped out by the end.
pm: Just under 2 hours at the gym. Kristin was going to meet me there at 5:30, do a quickie, and then we were going to take off together. She had to work til 6:30...didn't get there til 7. So 5-7. Way too much.
|
| | Did one of my mini-biathlons today. About 18 miles in the saddle and then ~4.5 miles running the trails. I meant to do a longer, flatter run, but forgot and found myself climbing up the mtn before I knew it. Unfortunately, this killed me in the heat so I had to keep the mileage down a bit. |
| |
noon: 2000 meters in the pool. 8 100's, 6 100's, 2 300's. Tiring!
pm: 6 miles on the road. This may well be the most humid day I've ever felt. Maybe Lincoln, NE was worse, but this is as close as I've seen. I couldn't even breathe deeply because it felt like i was sucking in large volumes of water and giving me cramps. All I wore were running shorts, socks, and shoes and I carried a handkerchief for swabbing sweat. I was SOAKED half-way through and rung my shorts and hankie out like they came out of the wash minus the spin cycle. This is getting gross and disturbing...
|
| | pm: An hour at the gym followed by a nice slow 3 mile jog to stretch the legs (after lots of squats) |
| | I generally don't count hiking miles, but this was an intense day of hiking, and I'll give it 5 "workout" miles. We were up in Dolly Sods to take advantage of killer weather (40's at night!!). Right at the end of this hike, my knee started giving me trouble, and it lasted the rest of the night and into the morning a bit. It freaked me out a bit, but now it's feeling just fine. Must have stressed it a bit too much.
|
| | Nice big loop around the Conservancy and back on the roads. I felt very strong on this run, and just at the end struggled with a somewhat bum knee--the same one that was hurting at the end of a hike on Friday. Today (monday) everything feels alright. |
| | Code orange air day...no running for me. 100 degrees, but heat index of 105 = gym day. Back and biceps today, with plans to return tomorrow for more.
|
| | Temps reached 102 today...another AC survival day. About an hour at the gym doing chest, tri's, and legs. This was going to be all I did today, but I got really grumpy that I can't get a run in so I just took off and did 3 miles. It was hot alright, but not as bad as I thought. Any serious run would certainly be nearly impossible, but I'm glad I did this little leg-stretcher.
|
| | Still trying to survive the heat..no running miles: noon: 2000 meters in the pool. Did a "pancake" workout for 1500 of it, which is where you climb out of the pool and jump back in every time you hit the wall (at either end). In a 50 meter pool, I guess that's 30 times? So yes...30...that gets really, really tiring. pm: about 15 miles in the saddle. With ~5 miles to go I blew out a spoke on my rear wheel, so had to baby it back to the barn. Did NOT need a taco'd wheel.
|
| | One last gym session for the week--generalized full body workout. We're seeing the last of the heinous weather, now just entering the really hot weather. | |
| |
6 miles on ze roads. and that is all i have to say.
|
| | 6 miles in Brooklyn. Ran from the hotel over to Roosevelt Island...cool run, actually. Ran through all kinds of interesting neighborhoods. I'm not even going to ask where the serious ghettos are cuz I don't even want to know. |
| | Hotel Room Workout. HRW. Good core workout, and I have a couple dumbells from the driller for the other stuff. It works... |
| | I'm not sure how long this run is, but it's a cool loop from the hotel. Over a bridge and past some interesting buildings...stinky too, maybe NYC's waste management... | |
| | Another 5 miles in brooklyn |
| | Shifted gears and headed over to Long Island, where the hotel actually had a nice gym. Did about an hour 20 min workout that felt pretty darn good. |
| | Worked my butt off today in extreme heat...actually considered a run at night (put on the clothes and everything) and then laughed and cracked a beer instead. i'm tired. |
| | Ok...second day back from field work. Decided to hit the gym for an hour first to wait out the unbearable heat, and then ran 3 miles to slowly get back into this. Hot and sweaty!! |
| | We'll call it six...not sure just how long this run is, but it's the killer "long" trail run on the mtn. Ran it with Sean, which sure makes it go faster. |
| | noon: 2300 meters in the pool--HOT. Water was hot, and the air much worse. People left because they got ill. This is starting to suck. |
| | 5 miles trail/run combo. Hot 'n sweaty, but not as bad as it's been. The storms ripped through and cleared things out substantially. |
| | Spent about an hour in the gym doing a little of everything, then stretched the legs with 3 slow miles on the trails. I couldn't catch my breath in the gym and left feeling nauseous and dizzy, but the run was just fine. Must have been pushing it a bit hard. |
| | Finally good running weather!! Did the usual 6 mile road run from home and felt strong and good...excellent run. |
| | an hour at the gym today. Had dinner with Kristin's aunt, so couldn't slip in the miles I wanted later. but it was tasty, so all's well. |
| | 6 miles on the roads--to the top of Gaines. Beautiful weather! |
| | 7 mile run. My favorite run. This run is amazing. The long loop that pours out on to Gaines road. | |
| | We woke up in a campground and then headed into work liesurely. Needless to say, I had to work late, which disrupted the schedule. So...just an hour at the gym, and no shorty to stretch the legs unfortunately. [but totally worth a one-day camping trip!] |
| | Mtn biked the Whitney state forest trails. I wanted a couple trail running miles too, but my biking partner has a bum ankle and couldn't swing it. Bummer. |
| | One hour at the gym right after work--mostly upper body, but also some light squats. I wanted something between my "normal" 3 mile post-gym cooldown and the 6 miler on roads, so I ran East End trail to Mountain Road trail and then the roads home. This was the perfect distance, and WHAT A NIGHT! When I got out it was so oppressively hot and so humid I could barely take a full breath of air. I was tempted to scrap it, in fact, because I keep hearing about how terrible the air quality is. Suddenly, perhaps .5 mi into the run, I felt a light sprinkle and this otherworldly soft wind came through and literally pushed it all out. It wasn't a huge ripping storm; just a gentle sweep of wind that pulled out all the humid air and left me with absolutely perfect running weather including a light drizzle and an amazing sky. What a gift!
|
| | 6 mile road run to the top of Gaines. Yesterday's innocent squats turned into today's tortured hammies and glutes, but we made it happen and ~2 miles in everything was warmed up and ready to go. Pretty humid today, but not terribly hot. |
| | Early afternoon: An hour in the gym; mostly upper body, but touched on the legs as well. |
| | The standard 6 mile run to the top of Gaines Road and back. This run was pretty miserable for the first mile...probably because I just woke up from a nap. But it improved significantly after that and was quite enjoyable. |
| | Just the gym today...about an hour. Too much going on to get a run in as well... |
| | 6 miles on the roads again to the top of Gaines. Oppresively hot and humid...it feels like you're breathing half air and half particulates and moisture. It's just really not much fun--can't wait to get get to some fresher air.
|
| | No miles today, but a good workout at the gym. 'Bout an hour. Feelin' tough. |
| | FIRST RUN IN THE NE!! Ran right from home up the dirt road and linked up with some of the trails. The new place is absolutely gorgeous, and I can't wait to explore the area!
|
| | Ran the opposite direction (downhill) to the center of Huntington. Good run--climbing muscles will build very quickly out here, but that's good. Kick my butt after a few years of flatlands. |
| | 6 miles down the road, but including a short hill climb that will prove brutal when I do the whole thing. Legs slowly coming back. |
| | Cut it a tad short tonight. Absolutely glorious sky, complete with several layers of clouds and a rainbow. Perfect running weather. Now of these legs would adjust to all these hills.... |
| | Same run, equally as beautiful out. It's so refreshing to be a bit chilled at the end of a run rather than ringing out shorts. I can't believe how much I've just really missed this kind of weather. Totally enjoyable. |
| | 6 miles on ze roads...down to Huntington road and over to the old farmer's place before the big bend in the road. |
| | 6 miles on the roads over to the next farm North of Camels Hump and Huntington. Gorgeous stretch of road. |
| | Ran down to Huntington Road and back. Possibly more, but I can't remember...I need to be better about this stinkin' blog... |
| | Worked out at the gym for the first time since the move. I can tell I've been active moving firewood etc, but it's still sad how much I lost. |
| | About an hour at the gym today. Slowly getting it back. Slowly... |
