This was sort of a test-drive of my potentially-injured knee. I tried to take it easy at first, but quickly realized that "taking it easy" = going slower = putting breaks on = easier to hurt a knee. So, I probably proceeded at around 7:45 pace with little/no discomfort. However, a couple hours after running, I started feeling phantom pains creeping in. Sure enough, i need to be careful. I iced it last night and took some ibuprofins and will stay off it for a couple days. I don't want to stop running, but i know i don't have an option...especially if i want to race moab. don't worry, Dave, you won't be alone. |
