Running Accomplishments:

I don't really keep good track, but here's what I found online:

Canyonlands Half '08: 1:34:35

Cherry Blossom 10 miler '08: 1:10:09 (alias jonathon strong)

Jingle All the Way 10k '08: 41:46

Short-Term Running Goals:

I really need to develop new goals.  It's been a busy year both professionally (field work) and personally (wedding, move,...)

It's time to get back on track and commit to some racing goals for next year.

Long-Term Running Goals:

The long-term goals are much easier--to stay healthy and happy!

Personal:

Live in Broad Run, VA with my wife; work at US Geological Survey.  Baby cat running around to catch mice in our old house.

Just a pinch over 9.5 miles on the same portion of the WOD again near Leesburg.  I'm happy to report a solid run with healthy hamstrings!  I averaged just over 8:00 pace, with one mile at 6:47.  I didn't think I could push it to this pace with my stupid legs, but they finally decided to submit to their master.

I'm really starting to dig this section of the W&OD! Nice to go all up and then coast on down back to the house. Averaged ~7:45 pace today, with one 6:48 mile embedded in there somewhere. Hammies are still smiling, and so am I. Finally starting to feel a bit of fitness!

A quickie 3.5 mile run to the gym followed by ~1 hour of upper body.  Upper body strength is now about where I want it to be, so it's time to stop increasing weight and increase numbers of reps.

3 mile out-and-back on Mr. WOD.  A gorgeous sunny 40 degree day, as predicted.  I was perfectly happy dolluping along at 8:00 pace.  Now I am sleepy and wanting a nap.

2 mile out-and-back with 3 half-mile strides in the middle.  Felt very good to pick up the pace!  Looking forward to a few workouts over the next several weeks.
