Running Accomplishments:

I don't really keep good track, but here's what I found online:

Canyonlands Half '08: 1:34:35

Cherry Blossom 10 miler '08: 1:10:09 (alias jonathon strong)

Jingle All the Way 10k '08: 41:46

Short-Term Running Goals:

I really need to develop new goals.  It's been a busy year both professionally (field work) and personally (wedding, move,...)

It's time to get back on track and commit to some racing goals for next year.

Long-Term Running Goals:

The long-term goals are much easier--to stay healthy and happy!

Personal:

Live in Broad Run, VA with my wife; work at US Geological Survey.  Baby cat running around to catch mice in our old house.

Switchin' it up, baby!  The WOD EAST of home!  I wore the Creations and, once again, the quads were real tight at the end.  I massaged them by rolling around on a football and by grinding a small egg shaker (think percussion) into my leg.  I worked a good bit of it out, but it's still frustrating that I have to bother.  Road Runner Sports has a 60-day perfect fit guarantee where a person can return shoes if they're not right, and I might just have to take advantage of this.  Sigh...

Grinding an egg shaker into your leg, ha? I... really can't imagine what that's like!

Glad that you enjoyed your visit to my country, we definitely have some beautiful places down there!

Is there a limit of how worn the shoes can be? I can almost put 500 miles on in 60 days!

By the way, what is the WOD?

Hmmm...you'd have to read the fine print. wouldn't that be great, though?! "uh..these aren't working for me..."

WOD = the Washington and Old Dominion Trail. (http://www.wodfriends.org/)

It's an old rail-to-trail that is nicely paved, has nice gravel shoulders, and passes directly past my house and fairly close to my workplace. Very convenient!

I've seen worse than that at REI garage sales- people return completely trashed stuff for a full refund...
